Martin Galdeano was appointed President & CEO of Ford South America in February of 2024.  Prior positions include President & CEO of Ford Argentina; VP & Chief Financial Officer for South America.  Prior to that, he was Treasurer, Ford Motor Credit for Europe, Middle East & Africa.

After ceasing manufacturing operations in Brazil a few years ago, Ford South America has undergone a wide array of changes as Ford looks to revamp its business in that part of the world.  The South American vehicle lineup has undergone a major revamp with the addition of multiple models, all while Ford sold off its old shuttered production plants in Brazil.

Since then Ford South America has enjoyed a tremendous double-digit sales boost from models that it is importing from other parts of the globe.  Ford currently sells vehicles like the Ranger pickup (built in Argentina), Transit van, Bronco, Mustang, Territory, Maverick and F-150, with a primary focus on SUV's pickups and commercial vehicles, with most models imported from other regions like the USA and Mexico.
