Over the last five years, one of the most frequent topics I’ve discussed with you is our journey to improve quality. Over that time, we’ve seen many of our internal metrics improve, and the most recent JD Power IQS results released at the end of June demonstrate that third party audits are starting to reflect our progress as well.
This internal Ford "From the Road" article has more comprehensive insight into how Ford & Lincoln performed in this year’s JD Power IQS study, but there are two things I want to highlight.
First – Ford is the most awarded brand in this year’s IQS study, while Lincoln has now notched two consecutive years of improvement.
Second – Super Duty, Mustang, Escape, and F-150 were all named best in segment for initial quality. These are four of the five programs we’ve launched after implementing our launch transformation strategy. Winning best-in-class initial quality awards across the board demonstrates that our strategy is working.
We have momentum on our side and will celebrate these results, but our progress is fragile, and our work isn’t done. We will continue our transformation efforts with the goal of becoming the automotive benchmark for quality.
As always, thank you for supporting me and the broader Ford team.
