August 7 - Mark Rushbrook, Global Director, Ford Racing

Mark Rushbrook leads the Ford Racing organization where he oversees all of Ford’s performance production vehicles as well as global motorsports programs including off-road, sports car, hypercar, drag racing, sprint car, in addition to spearheading Ford’s return to F1 with Oracle Red Bull Racing. Ford Racing’s scope also includes driving experiences and the business elements of Ford Racing.

Rushbrook came to Ford Racing after spending nearly fourteen years in leadership positions within Ford’s product development organization. The leadership program included assignments in vehicle engineering, program management, chassis engineering, and plant manufacturing that provided a thorough understanding of the product development process and deep technical resources inside Ford. Rushbrook played a major role in the history of Mustang as vehicle development manager from 2002-04 to deliver all engineering attributes on the 2005 Mustang. He then spent 5 years as the North America vehicle dynamics manager, working on every major product in the company portfolio. Mark joined Ford Racing in 2014 as an engineering manager and became global director in December 2017. In 2025, his role grew from global director of Ford Performance Motorsports to Ford Racing as a whole.

He earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University in 1989 and got his mechanical engineering Master’s degree a year later at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He later earned his MBA from Michigan in 1999 and started at Ford in June of that year in the product development leadership program.

Mark’s career has followed his lifelong passion for performance vehicles and motorsports. Many evenings are spent in his garage working on one of his Mustangs or the Factory Five Cobra he built together with his son Evan. When he’s not at the race track for work on a weekend, you will probably find Mark racing together with his son in their Mustang race car or their pair of Spec Racer Ford’s.
